  1. Kostik Soda (Sodyum Hidroksit – NaOH): Genellikle %1 ile %2 konsantrasyonda eklenir. Birincil görevi, yağları saponify etmek ve etiketler için kullanılan yapıştırıcıları çözmektir. PET yüzeyinden kirleri etkili bir şekilde “çıkarır”.
  2. Özel Deterjan/Surfactant: Kalsiyum hidroksit (kostik soda) ağır işleri yaparken, bir surfaktan, su içinde gevşetilmiş kir ve yağı askıya alarak, tekrar yapışmalarını önler.
