In a standardized scrap tire recycling plant, processing heavy-duty truck and bus tires requires specific initial dismantling. The tire circle cutting machine serves as the critical first procedure in this process.

By isolating the heavy steel bead wire early in the process, recyclers can safely feed the remaining material into downstream equipment—such as a tire strip cutter or a tire chunking machine—without prematurely dulling their expensive shredding blades. Engineered for versatility, this machine easily processes radial tires, nylon tires, and standard steel wire tires up to 1200mm in diameter.

Core Structural Components

The Shuliy tire circle cutting machine is designed as a standalone, semi-automatic unit. It leverages a heavy-duty electromechanical framework to manage the extreme resistance of commercial rubber components.

  • Chassis and Drive (Base & Motor): Welded from high-thickness channel steel, the heavy base prevents vibration during operation. The 4 KW main motor and reducer group provide the high torque required to rotate the heavily loaded working disc smoothly.
  • Locking Mechanism (Tire Mouth Tensioner Assembly): Located at the center of the working disc, this functions like a large lathe chuck. By turning the Tensioner Operating Handle, an internal scissor-mechanism expands to rigidly lock the inner opening of the tire.
  • Cutting System: The system utilizes a specialized, high-hardness alloy Cutter. Instead of relying on brute motor force for the cut, the operator uses a long Operation Level bar. This applies mechanical leverage to drive the alloy blade into the rotating tire wall smoothly and safely.

Operational Workflow of Tire Circle Cutting Machine

The tire cutter supports both nylon and steel wire tires. The structural design allows a single operator to complete the separation cycle efficiently.

  1. Loading & Locking: The operator places a scrap tire (ranging from 650mm to 1250mm in diameter) flat onto the Working Disc. The tensioner handle is turned to securely lock the tire from the inside out.
  2. Rotation Activation: The motor engages via the control box, causing the reducer to drive the working disc and the loaded tire into a low-speed, high-torque rotation.
  3. Leveraged Cutting: The operator pulls down on the Operation Level. The fixed alloy blade penetrates the joint between the scrap tire’s mouth and sidewall. Relying on the tire’s continuous rotation against the static blade, a precise circular cut is completed in approximately 1.5 minutes per side.

Blade Maintenance and Durability

As a high-friction processing unit, the tyre sidewall cutter machine requires minimal but consistent maintenance. The primary alloy cutter is highly wear-resistant. Proper leverage operation prevents chipping and extends blade life. Routine maintenance is limited to maintaining lubricating oil in the bottom reducer case and keeping the tensioner cross-assembly free of rubber debris to ensure smooth locking mechanics.

Plant Integration and Support

Whether integrating the tire ring cutter manually or incorporating it into a semi-automated tire recycling line, Shuliy Machinery provides comprehensive layout planning. For quotations on this specific equipment, or auxiliary replacement blades, please contact our technical sales engineering team.
